Revlon Colorstay makeup Foundation Review- (Natural Tan & Warm golden) Swatches and Comparison
Hi all... This is a quick review on Revlon colorstay makeup Foundation in the shades Natural Tan(SPF 20) & Warm golden (SPF 15). Well this is a foundation which I've been using over a year now and u can see how much I've used from the pictures below 😉
Price:
The price label shows Rs1250/- but I remember buying it for a discounted price around Rs.900 from Flipkart . U can Click here to buy.
Shade and consistency:
I have a medium skin tone with wheatish yellow undertones. I intially ordered the shade Natural Tan in the normal to dry skin variant. But to my disappointment it was a tad bit dark to my skin and it did not turn brighter unless I applied a loose powder over it.
Then after a few months I ordered for the shade Warm golden in the combination to oily variant ( during summer). Though it is a little lighter than my skin tone I was happy that it blended well with my skin tone within few minutes. Natural tan has more yellow undertones where warm golden had a slight cooler undertone. Both the shades have medium to thick consistency.
I've swatched it on the back of my hand (My hands are pretty badly tanned than my face😥)
Performance:
The product claims that it wears upto 24 hours but I've not used it that long.. Both the shade variants have stayed intact on my face without a primer for a good 6+ hours in an air-conditioned environment.. The makeup doesn't wear off due to sweat during sunny or outdoor environments. Which means even though the face sweats the make-up still remains after blotting. I guess the staying power can be increased when applied after a primer.
The foundations have a medium to good coverage and photographs well without any white cast. They turn into a beautiful semi matte finish.
The only con I found was that it creates patches when not blended quickly after applying. So it is necessary to have quick hands when applying this foundation.
Final Verdict:
This is a foundation which I never regret buying. If Ur looking for a drugstore foundation at an affordable cost then U could definitely buy it since this foundation will mostly be under discount in online shopping sites. But be careful before choosing the right shade.
